Consider an ENT: There may be more here than allergies. Being unable to clear the throat may be a result of something that is not an allergic process, such as , chronic gastroesophageal reflux, as well as several other conditions associated with the esophagus and upper airway. I think you should see your primary care doc first and see if an ENT doctor should evaluate your son to find out the main cause of this.
