Evolving tic: I would consider this signs of a tic, which represents an uncontrolled pattern driven by the nerves involved. These sometimes come & go in less than a few months. They can also be part of a chronic tic disorder (Tourette syndrome). A visit to the kids doc when convenient will be a reasonable choice.
