Compression fracture: Wow, that is a pretty young age to have such a diagnosis. I assume you have other illness/medication uses which caused osteoporosis. Anyhow, thinning of the bone causes weakening and thus the bone can collapse with a compression fracture as pictured here--which can be quite painful. Strain/sprain and cause pain too, but in your case you should have it checked out by your doc. Good luck.

Possible fracture: Osteoporosis is a silent disease and does not cause pain perse. Presence of backpain could be suggestive of possible vertberal fracture, recommend evaluation by a doctor for considering imaging studies.
