Prolactinoma question- do they have to remove tumor on putritry gland in brain?

In order to: Find prolactinoma, usually they are symptomatic and tend to grow causing problems with other pituitary hormones. Also, the gland lives where the optic nerves cross, so maintaining vision is another goal. So, follow your doctor's advice about benefits and risks, both doing the proedure, and delaying or not doing it.

Tumor removal: Not necessarily. If it is large, enlarging, failed medical therapy, or impinging on optic nerve it may need surgical intervention. Otherwise, medications are extremely effective and well tolerated with few adverse effects.
