A member asked:

I want to know wether i should get the flu shot. i have a complex health history. had a brain tumour removed (prolactinoma and acth secreting tumor) with a very complex health profile?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually yes: There is no reason for a person not to get a flu shot just because he has a complex medical history, unless he had a prior bad reaction to a previous flu shot. A person with a complex medical history does NOT want an added influenza illness, and may do worse than a non-complex person would, if both were to catch influenza. Thus, sicker people have more reason to get vaccinated.
