Unclear...: If you haven't had any complications since then, it may not be too much to worry about. But if you were having problems, the question would be - is your spleen enlarged because it's harboring platelets or for another reason. The jaundice 13 years ago may not have anything to do with this. A consult with a hematologist could shed some light about the low platelet count.

How low?: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the actual count. Low platelet count usually does not cause problems unless it is below 10K. If the count is stable, do not worry.
