Unrelated: Usually those 2 cysts are unrelated, however if the renal cyst is complex then a follow dedicated ct or ultrasound of the kidney should be done in 3-6 months to confirm stability.

Usually unrelated: Liver and kidney cysts are common. A complex cyst anywhere needs to be properly worked up, usually with short interval (3-6 month) followup, although comparing the ct to the us in this case may provide more information about how to proceed.
