FOMITES: Yes! scabies can be contacted through bed-sheets, towels etc. The bug that causes scabies---sarcoptes scabiei, has a tendency to move from one host to another through these media. Hence the instructions to wash all the clothes that patient has come in contact with ; while treating the patient himself/herself.
