I work at a drs office. i just found out that a patient last week had scabies. i took his pulse by putting fingers on his wrist. could i get infected?

Doubtful: You work in a physician's office and I assume careful handwashing is standard there. Scabies is usually transmitted by skin to skin contact over a long period of time or sleeping on infected bedding.

Not likely: If you were going to get infected, it would have happened already. Any linens in the office that this patient used would be OK now, as the mites live only about 3 days away from human skin. Obviously, if you have developed any scaling, itchy skin lesions in the past week, your concern would be valid
