No: It's never ok to smoke. Now is an excellent time to quit smoking. Smoking is a direct cause of coronary artery disease plus generalized arerial disease which can cause erectile dysfunction and other conditions from reduced and obstructed blood flow. Also lung cancer. The effects are cumulative over the years. Please stop now. Good luck.

Tough question: Cigarette smoking causes constriction of blood vessels and decreased ability of blood to deliver oxygen to the healing tissue. Rus, it can significantly inhibit wound healing, especially if you are diabetic, have hypertension, or peripheral vascular disease. Best not to smoke.
