Wait for scars: Plastic surgeons may have different recommendations for how long to wait before submerging your incisions. In my practice, i recommend patients wait at least 4 weeks before submerging and about 2 - 3 months before any strenuous swimming.

10-14 days: Most plastic surgeons allow surgical sites to get wet (as in the shower) within 48-72 hours but immersion in water as with a bath or swimming probably should be restricted longer and until after suture removal. The other issue with swimming is possible discomfort with chest muscle exertion and less likely, implant displacement. Discuss your questions with your plastic surgeon.

Depends incision: This will depends to a great degrees on the incisions and extent of wound healing. For short scars and implants placed over the muscle, showering may be permitted within 24 hours with pool immersion allowed within. 3-4 days. However for larger incisions and implants placed under the muscle and you plan on diving or doing the olympic butterfly stroke, you may find that this is not advised for 3 mos.

Depends.: Usually patients are able to swim within a few weeks after this procedure. However, every patient should run this question by their plastic surgeon who knows their situation best ( for example whether or not they are healing nicely without complication) and is ultimately responsible for their care.
