A member asked:

Are males or females more likely to have epilepsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both the same.: No significant sex difference is the risk of epilepsy. Some types are more often in girls (jme) and others in boys (absence) but overall the same risk. Some types are more related to age and some to puberty, and some are very genetic.
