Not much difference: When you get right down to it there might not be that much difference. Physical stress will affect the psychologically and affect the brain hormones and neurotransmitters. Psychological stress will also have an impact on us physically affecting many organ systems, immune system and endocrine system. One may be just the flip side of the other ultimately.

When we know of a: clear physical stressor, I.e., cancer, MS, medical treatment= primary treatment, although all the research points 2 the importance of psychological support 2 reduce stress & improve prognosis of medical conditions. When doctors can't find medical cause 4 symptoms, it's assumed they R due 2 emotional issues making psychotherapy=treatment of choice. Untreated medical issues may develop
