Is it possible to get a varicose vein on the inside of your hand?

Typically no: There is no large subcutaneous vein in the palm of the hand so it is very unusual location for varicose veins.

Yes: Unusual, but this may occur after trauma and those with arterio-venous malformation. Those who are prone to the development of vv in the legs, and who have prominent arm veins do not usually have vv in the palmar area.

Swollen hand veins.: Hand veins can swell for many reasons but the most common is certainly hereditary . Other factors would be level of hydration, aging, sun exposure and loss of elasticity and volume. Actually, I am amazed at the amount of women that i see with bulging hand veins. They can be easily treated with laser or sclerotherapy and usually a combination of both.
