Unusual: But possible. Mostly veins are on dorsal aspect of hand. Generally there are superficial veins on palmar aspect of hand but it is possible. You should consult a hand specialist or a vascular surgeon.

Yes.: Varicose veins are enlarged, bulging veins and they can occur in the palm of the hand and I have seen this several times. It could be due to localized trauma or a congenital or genetic issue. I recently has a massage therapist with a bulging hand vein. It it concerns you, it can be treated with either sclerotherapy or local excision through a small incision. You should see a vein specialist.

NO: No, varicose veins do not form on the palm of the hand. I have been a physician for 19 years, with my specialty being vascular disease, & I have never seen varicose veins on the palm. If there is an abnormal cluster of veins on the palm then it is likely a venous malformation, AVM, aneurysm, or clotted vein rather than varicose vein. See a vascular surgeon specialist to assess the lesion.
