No: It also depends on the type of tooth you are having repaired. If it is a baby tooth and is not needed for function or space maintainance, you might be better off extracting the tooth. No: More information would help. Is the tooth a permanent tooth or a deciduous tooth? If it is a permanent tooth is the root completely formed? If it is a deciduous tooth how close is it to coming out and is there a permanent tooth to replace it? These and other questions need to be answered before a pulpotomy is considered. But the quick answer is a pulpotomy is not dangerous.
