I have had a pulpotomy done on my tooth 1 day ago, and there a temporary filling there. but now i am experiencing pain. what does that mean?

This can happen: Pain after pulpotomy can happen. Just means the nerve is still responding to inflammation, may also be an infection. I would suggest going back to the treating dentist for an evaluation. See if the root canal therapy can be completed. That will usually solve the problem of the pain. Good Luck
