Depends on type: Vaginal mesh slings, widely considered the standard of treatment for stress urinary incontinence, have a complication rate of less than 5-8% generally. Vaginal mesh "kits" used for pelvic organ prolapse surgery (to fix bulges within the vagina from the bladder/rectum or prolapse of the vaginal cuff after hysterectomy) have been found to have a complication rate of around 20-30%.
