Yes: Type 2 diabetes has reached epidemic proportions in both children and adults because of obesity the mayor risk factor. Back in 1980s we would diagnose 1 or 2 children wuth type2 diabetes per year. Now we diagnose 2 to 4 per month.

Both : The incidence of both types 1 and 2 diabetes in children has increased significantly since the 1990's. I believe similar is true for adults.
