Dental Check-ups: At least every 6 months unless you have other needs such as gum and/or bone disease then every 3-4 months. The danger of not going every 6 months could cause you to need to go every 3-4 months not to mention that once bone is lost it won't grow back. So it's better and cheaper to prevent rather than to try and fix later.

Every 6 months.: For most people having your teeth professionally cleaned every 6 months and examined at least once a year is advised. Some patients need to be seen more often, typically those with periodontal disease. Having radiographic examinations (x-rays) is essential to diagnose dental pathology but the frequency of need varies from patient to patient based on caries index and periodontal health.
