A member asked:

I mentioned to my dentist that excess food gets lodged at one corner of my new permanent crown, but she didnt see any issue with the crown after looking at scans. if the food lodging issue began after the temporary crown, what could be the culprit?

Possibilities include gingival recession with a loss of interproximal tissue or an emergence profile that doesn't quite fill in the space between the teeth. Can only tell with an exam.

Return to your Dentist and ask her to resolve the issue. No matter what things look like on a scan, the crown may have to be reshaped to resolve the food impaction issue.
