A member asked:

If someone has their womb removed, would they still have monthly cycles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Hormone effects on the lining of the womb cause build up of the inner layer, that is shed each month...Looks like blood has tissue in it. A pregnancy interrupts the monthly build up and shed. Lose the uterus (womb), monthly discharge is abnormal. Need to be evaluated for cause of bleeding.
