Ruptured Appendix: A ruptured appendix is a true emergency because the infection can spread quickly through the abdomen. (typically) right lower abdominal pain with an upset stomach and loss of appetite along with a fever are the early warning signs of appendicitis. Early detection can stop the infection with antibiotic and surgical intervention. Hope this helps!

Depends. : A free rupture into ones abdomen can cause sepsis and multi organ failure within hours to days. Most ruptures though are contained between loops of intestine or fat and can smolder for days before spreading .
