Not very helpful: Most mouthwash makes you feel "minty fresh", but has very limited health benefits. Listerine has some effect, because it has some essential oils that bacteria don't like, but in general, mouthwash has no clinical benefit. Brushing and flossing sure do though! so don't cover bad odor with mouthwash, ...Just see your dentist instead...There might be a reason why you need it!

Use alcohol free: Alcohol can cause a burning sensation in the oral cavity tissue.. The truth is that the "burn" we experience is actually a bad thing, especially for chronic bad breath sufferers who use mouthwash many times a day and for people who have been using an alcohol mouthwash for many years. Long term exposure to alcohol can potentially lead to oral sores or even oral cancer.
