My son 4jrs old by accident swallowed his mouthwash. he is use to using it but swallowed by accident tonight. the one for children.it does contain sodium fluoride . but he had about 10ml in his mouth perhaps even less.

Relax: I wouldn't make this a regular activity but it should not do any lasting harm. Four is a bit young for some kids to remember to spit out toothpaste & mouthwash. I would consider not using it until he is older.

It's OK: There is only a minute amount of Fluoride in the mouthwash, and very occasional swallowing will not cause harm. Be a little more diligent about supervising his oral hygiene. Make sure he brushes 2x/day for 2 full minutes by the clock, w soft t'brush & pea-sized portion of kid's fluoridated t'baste. Floss his teeth daily. Have regular check-ups. Discuss sealants with Dentist.
