8-12 weeks: You could start walking the second day with therapy and if you are in good shape the progress will be faster.

Varies by patient : Everybody recovers differently after a total knee replacement. There are many variables that will influence the length of your recovery, including the shape our knee is in before surgery, how stiff your knee is and the amount of therapy and exercise you do. The more dedicated the patient is to his/her recovery, the quicker they will recover and the more successful the surgery will be.
