Scope:1-4, tkr-4-16w: And needs to be done by physical therapy experts in this area, either in an inpatient setting (if there are 'co-morbidities'--other significant medical probs defined by insurance company), subacute rehab centers, or intense outpatient therapy. Whichever setting, it should start quickly after surgery, be done 2-3 times a day, and always be under direct or indirect guidance of a rehab department.
