Help her stay off it: Hard to cover in 400 letters! stay off sore (no sitting, if true tail bone; no lying on back if at sacrum (top of "crack")) good nutrition, with increased protein intake being most important. Finally, good wound care. I like alginates like kaltostat or aquacell, but a good wound center or nurse can help with this. Debridement, wound vac, etc. Not as important as 3 above! watch for infection!

Evaluation : We cannot evaluate it over the web. Is she sick? Febrile ?weak? Confused ? Breathing quickly ? If so call ambulance. If not, and the sore is dry and not terribly painful you can keep it clean, place a clean gauze on top and have her seen by her md. She may need dressing changes , surgery or just some protective bandages
