A member asked:

Can a asthma flare up happen with only one lung?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asthma flare up: Although bronchial inflammation and constriction usually happen in both lungs, the exacerbation can occur mainly in one lung especially if there is aspiration or copious mucus involved. I have actually witnessed this several times in my practice.
