Not typical: This is not a typical description of an uncomplicated asthma flare induced by exercise. Are you having any of the other symptoms of asthma? There are certainly many conditions that can cause chest tightness and mimic asthma . A measurement of lung function can be useful here but to answer your question directly, yes an asthma flare can certainly last this long.
