Yes: Make sure your baby does not float too far away .Be sure your baby's neck and chin are pointing upwards and not down. Babies love to lick , beware of choking hazards!

Hold him: It is ok for him to go swimmining if you hold him the entire time and he is in the shade with hat, sunscreen and swim diaper. I wouldn't recommend a neck ring or other floaties at his age.
