Special beds/mattresses are available to help reduce pressure on susceptible areas. Good nutrition maintain strength & muscle & protein. Regular doc checks (or wound care nurse) for prevention. Control diabetes, htn, circulatory problems.

Vigilance: Avoiding pressure to any boney prominence is key. This usually requires frequent turning (very 2 hrs). Pressure relief mattresses and good nutrition are also important.
