Change position…: …frequently to prevent pressure buildup on any one area (sacrum, back, buttocks, hips). If ambulatory, movement improves circulation. Special beds/mattresses are available to help reduce pressure on susceptible areas. Good nutrition maintain strength & muscle & protein. Regular doc checks (or wound care nurse) for prevention. Control diabetes, htn, circulatory problems.
