Possible, not likely: It is possible to have a late eyelid droop after blepharoplasty, but quite rare. If this is a new symptom, you need to see your doctor to determine its cause. He/she may refer you to an ophthalmologist, a plastic or facial plastic surgeon, or to a neurologist. I would get this checked out sooner rather than later.

Could be many things: Drooping eyelids can be from the trauma of surgery or from the aging process. They are also seen after some cataract surgeries. People can also get eyelid and facial drooping from bell's palsy or stroke. Go get evaluated by an eye doctor to find out what is going on with your eye.

Possible: It is possible that this could be related to your prior surgery but unlikely. I would recommend that you see an ophthalmologist to evaluate your new eyelid droop. There are many possible causes and it is important to rule out anything serious. I hope this information is helpful. Stephen weber, M.D. Lone tree facial plastic surgeon.
