No: No, but pets should never be left alone with young children. There are always seem to be stories to scare new parents, including where a cat will curl up next to a warm infant and possibly block the baby's nose and mouth. This would be incredibly unlikely and is easily prevented with a few precautions, such as closing the baby's door.

No: This is something i've seen in a movie but there are no actual accounts of this :).

Yes: A 1 month old baby has no interest in a cat. Possibly, a cat or dog can snuggle up next to a young baby and suffocate the baby. Parents should constantly watch a baby if any pets are nearby. A dog or cat may sniff a baby to remember the baby's scent, and to find out what is going on, just out of curiosity. Other types of pets should probably stay away from babies.
