A 32-year-old female asked:

Can cat or dog hair bring on asthma in babies?

Allergic triggers: Babies can have asthma and animals can be the "trigger" that brings on symptoms. But it may have nothing to do with the animals, or just one or the other. Every person is individual, and if they have asthma, they have their own triggers that bring on symptoms. The only way to know what your baby's triggers are is to work with his doc or allergist. Can do allergy testing or avoidance/exposure tests.

Consult an allergist and get your child tested to determine what is triggering their asthma, it may or may not be allergies
