Confusing: I understand your confusion. Toxoplasmosis is a parasite in cat feces. It is very dangerous to the fetus if the mother contracts the illness while pregnant. However, after the child is born and is otherwise healthy, toxoplasmosis does not cause much harm. Illness is mild and treatable in healthy children and adults. So you can keep your cat even with young children.
