Will i have to have surgery right away if i've been diagnosed with a uterine fibroid/tumor?

Usually no: Uterine fibroids are extremely common and may be asymptomatic. Surgery may be needed if fibroids cause symptoms that can be relieved only by surgery. Unless the fibroids are causing profuse bleeding, there would not be a reason to have surgery immediately.
