Depends: Depends on the vitamin, mineral, age and sex of the individual. Different needs at different stages of growth and life.. Some minerals and vitamins can be toxic-not just fat soluble vitamins like a and d, but also e.g. B6 (water soluble) which can cause nerve damage in excess (or deficiency).
