How low can your hemoglobin drop to before it's considered really bad?

Below 10 is cause : For concern. It depends on how fast it drops and what the cause may be. Hb below 10 is generally considered anemia and should be invesigated for cause and treated accordingly. If the drop in hb occurs over months a person may be asymptomatic with hb as low as 5.
