Plantar fascitiis: Is a common condition that causes heel pain. If you have pain on the first few steps in the morning or after periods of rest this is likely what you have. Try icing it, wear an arch support, night splints can be helpful for reducing the morning pain. Take antiinflammatories like alleve or motrin....If pain persists see a podiatrist.

See a podiatrist.: To have it examined. The most common causes are plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis, but there are other causes to consider. Have it examined to diagnose accurately, then it can be treated right away.
