5 days a week?: I would start with 3-5 days a week if you are presently getting into shape. If you are working out for awhile and in good shape, you may be able to work out up to 6 days a week. If you are doing strength exercises you should probably alternate exercise and rest days. If you do aerobic exercises you can work out almost every day, but you need to alternate hard and easy workout days.
