Should you stay in the hospital the day after a minor surgery?

Trust and listen. : Many surgeries can be done safely on an outpatient basis. Listen to your surgeon. If he or she thinks your surgery can be done and you go home then it is likely safe to do so. If you don't trust your surgeon, then they should not be operating on you.
