My mother had chrohns and then ulcerative colitis 2 yrs ago. emergency surgery to remove large intestine. had reversal surgery 6 months after. now has blockage in small intestine. been in hospital 3 days and had ct scan. she pooped today. protocol?

Somewhat typical: Her history is somewhat typical of inflammatory bowel disease. It sounds like she responded to conservative management. Results of imaging will be critical in making further decisions as she will remain prone to recurrent bowel obstruction. Follow up with both her gi specialist and her colorectal surgeon will be critical.
