Psychiatrist?: If you mean a visit to a psychiatrist, the first visit involves sharing your history and the specific concerns you have. S/he will need to know about other medical illnesses you've had, other medications you've been on, personal history, use of substances, family history, etc. There may be tests of thinking. All this is to understand what's causing you distress, in order to treat the problem.
