What happens at a visit to a gi?

Talking/examination: The initial visit to any physician is going to be similar. The doctor will ask questions about the history of the symptoms you have been having in an attempt to start formulating a differential diagnosis. Then he will perform a physical examination. Depending on his findings, a GI doctor may want to schedule an endoscopic procedure, but he will explain that to you.
