I recently had an issue with black stools(3-4 days). very minor cramps. no pain, or loss of appetite. cbc normal. stool test positive. stool is now back to normal color. is a gi visit needed?

Yes: Black stools usually are caused by bleeding in the upper part of the GI tract. This is a medical emergency. Go to the ER.
