Hypertrophy: The word hypertrophy means enlarged. Muscles can enlarge for various reasons, most commonly related to building muscle mass from exercise, but there are some diseases that lead to what appears to be muscle hypertrophy but is fat instead. If your muscles are enlarging involuntarily, i suggest you see your family doctor.
