A member asked:

Regarding muscle antagonists, if one muscle hypertrophied then its antagonist decreases in size?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Muscle hyper trophy: Very good question. If a person is healthy and exercising then the antagonist muscles will not decrease in size. If there is a loss of use of a muscle group then yes the antagonist muscles will decrease because it is not being used.
