A member asked:

What does thickening of the first and second portion of the duodenal wall indicate during a ct scan result?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: This is most commonly seen when the duodenum is empty and the wall can appear thickened. Less commonly, there may be real wall thickening related to infection, inflammation, ulcer, trauma, or cancer.
