CT findings: A periampullary diverticulum is a small outpouching near the area where the bile duct drains into the small intestine. They are usually of no consequence whatsoever and are only found on CT scan. Rarely it could affect the ability of the bile to flow properly. This is very unusual. I would not worry about it unless you were actually having problems with your liver test numbers. Good luck.
